Wetpaint great, but missing one vital bit

It doesn't ahve a real backup - one you can restore from.
And, becuase of that, I choose not to use it for any professional work.

What I am looking for is a site ripper that can easily rip my informal wetpaint sites, so at least I have that much 'backup', a decent dump.
Any one had any joy finding a site ripper that will work with Wetpaint.

"Everything Wiki" surely is not meant to be a fan club or apologist for Wetpaint.

The Wetpaint "backup" is still nothing of the sort.
All it does is create a zip file of the text!. You cannot RESTORE from it. Surely a requirement for any backup system worthy of the name..
And it doesn't (correct me if I am wrong) keep the layout, the pictures, the widgets.
So how do you BACKUP your Wiki, as a protection against vandalism ?

As it is, at the moment, if someone vandalised your site, my understanding is you would have to go in and restore every page to the previous edition BY HAND, page by page.

Seriously, if you do have some means of backing up and restoring your Weptaint Wiki, I would be really very interested.
If you don't, then comfortable do you feel about that ?

As I say, Wetpaint is great in many ways, and I use it for private sites that are not likely to get vnadalised, or public sites where most useers cannot edit pages. It could be so much better, and used by professional people, for businesses, governments etc. (Most businesses and governments have a mandatory requirement for a proven, working backup AND RESTORE system). My view is WetPaint are missing out on this paying market because of their lack of understanding or acceptance of this simple, clearly, commonly expressed requirement.

I provided the page link to Wetpaint Central because that is a place where the level of backup functionality is described plus that is the site where the Wetpaint crew may review and respond to issues, concerns, and feedback threads that are posted.
